Jay Patel is an architectural designer whose practice centers on healthcare, urban context, and human experience. He combines research, clinical workflow analysis, and patient feedback to create efficient, calming spaces that enhance staff performance and improve patient outcomes. His academic research on city image and perception has been presented internationally, including at the Venice Architecture Biennale and peer-reviewed conferences. His portfolio includes clinical renovations, emergency department expansions, and large-scale hospital master plans. Jay balances technical rigor with trauma-informed, people-first design—often leading medical planning and phased implementation for complex healthcare projects. His work and insights have been featured in Healthcare Design, Archinect, Architizer, and national publications in India. Recognized as a Healthcare Design Rising Star, Jay also mentors younger designers and serves as a frequent design critic. He holds a Master of Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Architecture from Nirma University; Registered Architect (COA, India); Associate Member, AIA; LEED Green Associate.
