MASTER PLAN TEXT A MASTER PLAN FOR ISLAND HOSPITALITY The transformation of the Marriott Luxury Collection Hotel in the Turks and Caicos Islands began with a comprehensive master planning effort that reimagined the entire guest journey—from arrival to departure—while carefully balancing the invisible flow of back of house operations. The 120-key property was restructured not only through architectural upgrades but through a holistic site strategy that unifies landscape, hospitality, wellness, and service into a seamless resort experience. At the heart of the plan is the careful zoning and spatial organization of the resort. Guest-facing amenities—such as the expansive gardens, cascading pools, and new ocean front restaurant—were choreographed to frame unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea while maintaining discreet service access for staff. Culinary, wellness, and leisure elements are arranged to allow guests to move fluidly through the site, discovering curated moments of serenity and delight. The new spa anchors a quieter zone of the resort, with a collection of treatment rooms nestled around a tranquil central pool—designed not only for relaxation, but as a celebration of the island’s salt-making heritage. Behind the scenes, service paths and delivery areas were reconfigured to operate without interfering with the guest environment, supporting the high expectations of the Luxury Collection brand. Openedin 2025, the result is more than a renovation—it’s a master planned hospitality experience that balances luxury and logistics, setting a new standard for South Caicos.
