The Ocean Expo Learning Center is a 90,000 sf facility located in southern Mississippi, four miles from the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. The vision of this aquatic learning center is to allow visitors to get up close and personal to all of the animals and mammals beyond the reaches of a typical aquarium. Visitors will have the opportunity to swim with the dolphins as well as meet the friendly sea lions, and maybe, even get a kiss. This aquarium will focus on the exhibits, big and small, and provide each individual with an educational, engaging, and above all, fun experience. Phase One includes program features such as a small dolphin show with an audience capacity of 500; an interactive sea lion show with an audience capacity of 250; a exhibit featuring reef and coastal environments; a snorkeling lagoon; a 3D theater; and outdoor gardens Other elements include a gift shop and small café.
