Panini grill stations added. Purchase of reusable dishware and new dishwashing station. Concessions outfitted with new appliances including a pizza oven for use during the lunch service. Adding a refrigeration unit in the loading dock area will create more efficiencies in receiving deliveries and add refrigeration space for advance food prep like marination of meats.
Service Type
Full service architecture and interior design
The TVS Education studio worked with the school to come up with a creative solution to increase capacity in the existing dining hall on the campus without expanding the footprint of the existing Mulkey Building. Mount Paran is an independent K-12 school located in Kennesaw, Georgia. All grades eat out of the dining hall in the Mulkey Building. The project covers a gross square footage of approximately 10,000 sf where the scope of work updated the dining hall itself as well as the concessions, severy, the main kitchen, and the kitchen support spaces. The team was able to complete the design in time for the construction to take place over a single summer and open in time for the fall semester in 2024.
