The theme for the Kimball Office Chicago showroom is the “The City is Your Office”, showcasing the versatility of the company’s vast portfolio of product to the brand’s inherent ability to provide solutions for any work environment. Kimball Office’s Chicago Showroom is in the heart of the design community in the city’s River North neighborhood. TVS did the original design for the space when the company relocated to this current location. Prior to NeoCon 2008, Kimball Office once again contracted TVS to update the space with a fresh look that could serve as a successful backdrop for the introduction of the new ‘Hum’ desking system and “Pose’ lounge seating. The color palette on the first floor is high energy with dramatic lighting allowing for a variety of ‘moods’ for social events. The second floor color palette incorporated white and soft greys with punches of orange, red and lime green to reflect the atmosphere of a young, energetic corporate environment. All materials and lighting were selected and installed with consideration to the previously achieved LEED® CI Silver Certification credits.
