DUKE ENERGY CENTER
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Levine Center for the Arts and Duke Energy Center provides an enriching, diverse experience for the citizens of Charlotte and its visitors. With opportunities for work, shopping and a multiplicity of diverse cultural offerings, the project lifts the city to new heights. tvsdesign provided master planning, overall project coordination and full architectural design services for the office tower, the parking podium and the adjacent theater. Using a whole building approach, the client aimed to address areas of human and environmental health including sustainable site development, increased water and energy savings, responsible use of materials and resources and providing a high-quality indoor environment. Through this initiative in design, the Center received LEED® CS Platinum, and was the first core & shell commercial office space to require all tenants to pursue LEED® Commercial Interiors certification.
