ABOUT THE PROJECT
The client desired a smaller, more efficient working environment with less square footage, which posed a challenge for the design team to maintain an open space. Located in a prime location in Atlanta, GA, the design team created new views of the entire city, which allowed for daylight to penetrate throughout. The design also encouraged interaction between teams by unifying previously siloed departments and creating flexible common spaces.
SWEEPING CITY VIEWS AND AN OPEN, INDUSTRIAL FEEL
DESIGN GOALS, STRATEGIES AND RESULTS
The design team set out to create a welcoming, open office space for the client that encourages better synergy among employees. As the client’s headquarters, the redesign of the space needed to achieve several goals:
- Create a showroom feel
- Democratize daylight throughout the entire space
- Breakdown physical barriers between departments
Building materials such as concrete, wood, metal and glass were employed to harness a tailored, industrial aesthetic that is conducive to providing a showroom-quality space for clientele that offers a clear impression of the company’s culture and values.
