Mattress Firm, a high-growth retailer based in Houston, needed to consolidate two corporate offices into one scalable location that enhances productivity while providing both a reflective and collaborative space. With an average double-digit predicated annual growth, the alignment of Mattress Firm’s brand identity and organizational strategy with a strong real estate strategy was vital to achieving the organizations’ goals for success.
To identify aspirations, vision, opportunities, cost and priorities for Mattress Firm's new work environment, the tvsdesign team engaged in a 10-week Vision, Concept Strategy phase. tvsdesign conducted workshops with the leadership team at Mattress Firm and then issued a survey to every employee capturing preferences for space requirements, culture and work habits and amenities. Over 300 responses greatly influenced the vision and workplace strategy that resulted in the final plans for Mattress Firm’s new corporate campus style office.
