Georgia Gwinnett College, a unit of the University System of Georgia with enrollment at more than 8,500 students, has completed the planning, design and construction of an Allied Health Building. The building was sited and designed to help further define a pedestrian axis and enclose the campus quad with materials that complement existing campus structures.
The Allied Health Building includes 25 teaching laboratories for the college's biology, physics, chemistry, labs, anatomy and physiology, exercise science, IT systems, computational sciences, digital media and psychology programs. The facilities put science on display with laboratory spaces visible from student corridors. Collaborative learning spaces have been incorporated adjacent to labs and faculty offices to increase occasions for interaction between students and faculty at this rapidly growing college.
