Miami Beach commissioners Pick South ACE Team for the Miami Beach Convention Center

We are excited to announce that the Miami Beach City commissioners have made a a final decision, and chosen the SouthBeach ACE team to renovate the 52-acre , Miami Beach Convention Center Project.

The big project, which has been called one of the most important development projects in Miami’s history , promises to bring a facelift to the nearly 60-year-old building, which plays host to events such as Art Basel Miami Beach.

Miami Beach residents are excited about the prospects of a new convention center. “It does get a lot of tourist influx into the city and a lot of dollars spent here,” said Miami Beach resident Gregory Barfield.

Along with the convention center renovation, will be an expansion to include a new hotel, public green space, parking, a cultural building and about 90,000 square feet of retail space.

Dan Tishman, South Beach ACE Principal, said in a statement. “The South Beach ACE team would like to thank the Commissioners and residents of the City of Miami Beach for their engagement and support throughout this master planning process. The ideas and feedback we received helped shape an exciting new vision for the City’s convention center.We now look forward to working with the City and the community to bring this project to fruition.”
